How did we get here?

How do we travel the world with kids?

Mama little has been traveling since she was a child. Her parents went on numerous adventures around Canada, the Unite States and Europe with the family and that wanderlust has stuck.

Papa little found his love for travel after a backpacking Europe as a teenager. He now travels internationally for work and a commute for him often means at least 20 hours of flying.

The littles joined the family while we were living in Tanzania and since then we have traveled Africa, Europe and Asia together as a family.

In the thick of travel, we don’t have the time or energy to really blog about it. We also want to be in the moment, spending our time abroad hanging out with old friends or exploring new sites. Nevertheless we do field quite a few questions about how we manage to travel – and even live abroad with young kids – so hopefully this blog helps some travel-hungry folks to step out and travel with their littles. It is possible, and it can be an amazing experience for everyone!

Just a few of the favourite places we have travelled in absolutely no particular order: Vancouver Island, Berlin, Franschhoek, Haida Gwai, Seychelles, Nigeria, Beijing, Northwest Territories, Rwanda, Singapore, New York, Washington DC, San Juan Islands, Israel, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, France, Tokyo, United Kingdom, Niamey, Italy, Vietnam, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, Romania, Hungary, Uganda, Togo, Washington state, Cappadocia, Zanzibar…
